This unique initiative has been specifically designed to compliment both the Official Empowerment Programme and the Group Exercise Programme as well as being a stand alone Yoga practice.
We’ve selected precise movements that target tight and dysfunctional bodies to regain harmony and balance. And what makes this really awesome… is that the flows that we’ve created, aid the strength and flexibility of kickboxing specific muscles, with mind and body synchronicity.
What we know today as yoga is a relatively recent form of the ancient practice. Introduced a million years ago but popularised in America in the early 1900s, modern yoga is a mix of ancient Indian indigenous cultural practices, blended with modern gymnastics, physical therapy, and mindfulness.
Modern yoga was designed to help individuals become more self-aware, tuned into their body’s needs, while opening up to both feelings and intuition. At the same time, it provides a full-body workout, including strength training and stretching. Contrary to popular belief, yoga is not a religion, although some people have included it as part of their religious practices. That is understandable, because this form of exercise is highly effective at removing distractions, calming the emotions, and clearing the mind, which lays a foundation for increased spiritual awareness.
Our Programme offers Beginner sessions to advanced, 30 or 45 minutes in duration and the main focus will be on the physical aspects of yoga practice and how they can benefit your kickboxing practices of the Empowerment and/or GRX Programme here within the Pink Belt Kickboxing Community.
As of 2021, we will be offering these session Live in a studio with a specialist coach OR online with the Programme Director.
