Kickboxing offers defence work. It teaches one to defend against an opponent of kickboxing stature and standard.
Self Defence, is a different beast.
In this 4 hour seminar, we teach women and girls to spot potential threats, understand the law, use their environment and utilise physicality when necessary outside of the kickboxing environment.
We teach about establishing personal space, about using your voice, about what Reasonable Force means when defending yourself and choosing when to use physicality.
Developed by a London based Police Officer and PBKB Founder, this is essential knowledge and risk assessments for every community.
There is practical application of self defence techniques in addition to the theory and psychological impact and barriers to overcome.
These seminars and sessions are led by the programme directors and only in a live setting. There are practical elements that need to be learned and repeated over and over until they feel fluent within the body.
